K-9 Kountry offers a Free Roaming environment to all of our furry guests who have passed a very strict temperament test. In most cases temperament test fee is waived, but if your pup has not been socialized a temperament test fee might be assessed. We are opened 365 days a year, for our Members and closed on major holidays for non members. Mon-Fri 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Sat and Sun 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There is someone present on the premises 24/7,yes, even at night. Our mandatory vaccinations are Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, a Fecal Exam and a treatment for fleas, thicks and lice. We do accept holistic vaccines and blood titers. In spite of being a city where fleas, ticks and lice do not necessarily thrive, we ask that our guests are on a preventative medication for the above. Below are a series of FAQ that we hope might answer any other concerns parents might have. Feel free to contact us if there is something that might not be listed.
What is the minimum age requirement when accepting a dog for boarding or daycare?
-Minimum age can vary between 4 to 6 months. All vaccines must be completed. We suggest waiting a minimum of 2 weeks after the completion of the 3rd series.
What times can I check in and check out my dog?
-You can check in anytime from the time we open until 3:00 PM. We recommend 3:00 PM so that way your pooch can get some play and exercise before checking into a pack that is ready to go to sleep.
-Check out is by 12:00 PM. Your pooch is welcome to stay until our normal closing hour, but after 12:00 PM a full day of daycare will be added.
- We do offer an After Hours and Before Hours check in option but there is an additional fee. Please contact us for more details.
Do you accept non-neutered/spayed dogs? What if he/she is in heat?
-We DO accept non-neutered/spayed dogs as long as they do not exhibit dominant behavior, hump and mark excessively and are no older than 8 months. There will be an up charge of $15.00 per non-neutered/spayed dog from the age of 6 months old till 8 months old. Unfortunately we can not accept any dog in heat.
If I have multiple dogs, are they all going to sleep/play together even if they are different sizes and breeds?
-Yes! We do separate by size and breed characteristics, but if siblings can be placed together upon request . That is one of the reasons ALL accepted pups must be friendly towards all others in our pack.
Are there discounts for multiple dogs?
-Yes! 2nd pup receives 10% off any services, 3rd and more receive 50% off any services.
Can I bring some of my dog’s favorite things such as toys, beds, feeding bowls?
-We highly recommend not to! Since they will be housed in an open environment, slumber pawrty style, their belongings might end up destroyed or they might be possessive over them. There are toys here that are community and everyone shares.
If my dog is on a special diet, can I bring my own food if it needs to be refrigerated or frozen? What if there is medication needed?
-Of course! We have refrigerators and freezers available for our guests. As far as medication goes there will be an additional charge of $2.00 per pill needed to be administered. Unfortunately, at this time, we do not administer any injections.
Can the parents visit your facility and receive a tour prior to services?
-Absolutely! We encourage all parents to come for a private tour behind the scenes where our playgrounds can be seen in order for them to make a more informed decision on the best place to leave their furry babies at! Our tour hours are by appointment only and between the hours of 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM Mon-Fri due to our no kennel policy.
Can anyone sign up for the membership ?
Anyone can submit an application for the membership. However, there is a waiting list that can vary between 2-10 months based on availability and must have been attending our school for at least 14 days. Since the membership comes with different perks such as off leash parent/pup events certain requirements are a must. We reserve the right to deny an application for membership if your pup does not meet certain requirements.
